Hub International Limited announced that its Northwest operating unit has acquired the assets of Meier Insurance Agency, a Bothell-based full-service insurance brokerage firm offering commercial lines, personal lines and employee benefits products and services to customers throughout the Pacific Northwest. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Meier is the second-largest member of The Advantage Group, a group of independent brokers, which gives the agency scale with many top-rated carriers and promotes cross-selling opportunities. Its existing client base is made up of a diverse portfolio of companies, including construction accounts, which complements the current focus of Hub Northwest. In addition, it has a diverse personal insurance client base that will integrate well with the current Hub Northwest portfolio of clients. Its small-business account portfolio and expertise will help Hub Northwest expand its reach in the small-business segment. The team from Meier will be moving into Hub Northwest’s existing offices in Bothell.
