Bothell resident earns scholarship from WWU

Western Washington University student Alexandra Jacqueline Kattar, daughter of Jean and Susan Kattar of Bothell, received a $2,000 Edward Tilden Mathes Endowment for the 2012-2013 academic year.
The Edward Tilden Mathes Endowment is awarded to students planning to teach in the field of Humanities who are maintaining a 3.75 GPA or higher.
Kattar is a graduate student whose professional goal is to become a history high school teacher. She is pursuing a degree in History and Secondary Education.
Kattar was a member of Phi Alpha Theta and the History Honors Association and is a 2003 Bothell High School graduate.
