Bothell resident earns Western Washington University scholarship

Western Washington University student Samantha Rose Gunderson of Bothell has accepted a $1,000 Alumni Association Trunkey Leader Scholarship for the 2012-2013 academic year.

The Alumni Association Trunkey Leader Scholarship is intended for a student with a grade-point average of 3.1 or higher or, if just graduating from high school, a 3.5 GPA or higher.

Gunderson, who graduated from Bothell High in 2009, is majoring in kinesiology and her scholastic honors include belonging to the National Collegiate Honor Society and being a National Residence Hall Honorary. Her other activities include being a resident adviser and an active member in the Western community.
