The City of Kenmore is hosting a recycling event on Saturday.

The event provides an opportunity for Kenmore residents to properly dispose of batteries, cardboard, bulky wood, approved electronic equipment, household goods and other items.

New items to be accepted as part of a pilot project include styrofoam blocks, packing peanuts, mattresses, box springs and futons. Some fees apply.

The recycling event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Northshore Park and Ride, 68th Ave. N.E. and N.E. 182nd Street.

Event details are also available on the City’s website.
