Snohomish County deputy to be honored

Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputy Dan Scott will be honored as the Washington Council of Police and Sheriffs (WACOPS) Law Enforcement Officer of the Year in recognition of his bravery and outstanding service to the community for identifying and foiling a bank robbery.
The award will be presented by Lt. Governor Brad Owen during the WACOPS Membership Meeting on January 16 at 9 a.m.
The meeting will be held at the Phoenix Inn located in downtown Olympia at 415 Capitol Way N., Olympia 98501.
The Washington Council of Police and Sheriffs is a professional organization formed to strengthen the rights and quality of life of those who have dedicated their careers to protecting and serving our communities for more than 50 years.
