The Bothell High School’s Jazz Band was awarded a first place trophy at the 32nd annual 2014 Bellevue Jazz Festival on May 9-10. Within their respective 4A high school division, Bothell’s Jazz Band showcased its talents to a panel of judges and came out victorious. Kanyon Powers (trumpet), Zach Hill (alto saxophone) and Riley Lium (bass) were recognized for their outstanding solos and rhythm selection contribution and were collectively invited to perform the final evening’s closing number.
