Bothell resident earns scholarship from WWU

Western Washington University student Kaelin Newman, son of Doug Newman and Suzanne Adams of Bothell, received a $3,000 MAP Scholarship for the 2013-2014 academic year. The MAP scholarship is awarded each quarter at Western to incoming freshmen and transfer students whose application for admission demonstrates a commitment to multiculturalism and/or diversity.

Newman graduated from Bothell High School in 2013 and is expected to graduate from Western in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Geology. He hopes to eventually earn a graduate degree in Geology and work as a geologist.
