The University of Washington, Bothell recently received approval from the state Higher Education Coordinating Board to extend its Master of Business Administration (MBA) program southward to Bellevue.

The new Leadership MBA in Bellevue will focus on developing business leaders through a mentorship and strategic leadership program. It will complement what was described as the successful MBA program offered at the Bothell campus geared toward managing technology-oriented businesses.

Moving forward, the program in Bothell will be known as the “technology MBA” and continue with a strong focus on technology and entrepreneurship.

By expanding to Bellevue, the MBA program will provide increased educational access to residents of the Eastside area including Bellevue, Issaquah, Redmond, Renton, Sammamish and surrounding communities that will benefit from reduction of travel time, expense and impact on the environment.

Numerous Eastside government and civic leaders sent letters supporting the new MBA program to the state.
