Locals earn Community Transit awards

At the recent 2008 Visionary Awards ceremony held by Community Transit, city of Bothell and Bothell businesses were honored for their efforts in commute trip reduction programs. Award recipients included:

• Sabrina Combs/city of Bothell, employee transportation coordinator (ETC) of the year.

• Fiserv Health,

employer of the year.

• Deborah Conley-Staerk/University of Washington, Bothell and Cascadia Community College, SMART commuter of the year.

• Sione K. Phillips, SMART commuter of the year.

The Visionary Awards honor Snohomish County and Bothell employers that encourage commute alternatives, as well as longtime and avid commuters.

The program was introduced 12 years ago.
