The American Legion Bothell Post 127 and Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor 10 high-school juniors to the Evergreen Boys & Girls State program in June at Central Washington University in Ellensburg.

While there, they will spend a week of learning about government with a “hands-on” by doing approach. They will form into groups of 20 students into cities and will elect their own mayor and city council. They will vie to be elected to city, county and state office up to Boys & Girls State governor.

Attending from Bothell High are John Norberg and Hailee Stringfellow. From Ingelmoor High are Alexander Patterson, Stevie Jones and Jenna Harken. From Woodinville High are Kayvon Behroozian, Jonathon Hwa, Danny Sullivan, Sarah Hale and Anne Horning.
