State Rep. Hope named UW-Bothell outstanding alum

The University of Washington, Bothell has named State Rep. Mike Hope, R-Lake Stevens, as the 2009 Distinguished Alumni

Award winner.

The award recognizes UW-Bothell alumni who have shown distinguished professional achievements or outstanding community service work since graduating from the institution.

Hope graduated from the UW-Bothell in 2006 with a master’s degree in policy studies and is the first alumni to ever hold public office.

According to the university, Hope is active in his community, coaching track and wrestling for the local public high school.
