Author, scientist and adviser Wayne B. Jonas, MD, will be the keynote speaker at Bastyr University’s 28th annual commencement exercises at 1 p.m. June 22 in Seattle’s Benaroya Hall.

Jonas is the president of the Samueli Institute, a nonprofit scientific research organization in Virginia investigating healing processes. Still, he might be best known as a former director of the Office of Alternative Medicine at the National Institutes of Health and for his current role as a health care adviser to President Barack Obama.
