Van Dusen snags Northshore Fire Department Employee of the Year award

Lt. Pete Van Dusen received the Employee of the Year award at the 2009 Northshore Fire Department Awards Banquet held at the Elks Lodge on Jan. 29.

Van Dusen began his fire service career in 1984 and was promoted to lieutenant in 1994. He was instrumental in the professional development of several of the department’s new employees and also received a 25-year service award.

Awards for 15 years service were presented to firefighters Bjorn Hodneland, Todd McInturff, Gene Piana and Alex Salvador.
