West African culture will come alive when griot percussionist Thione Diop returns to the Northshore Performing Arts Center, 18125 92nd Ave. N.E., Bothell, Nov. 1. The lobby will open at 2 p.m. so theatergoers can experience West African food, drink, art and a short film before welcoming back the Kasumai Africa show, which begins at 3 p.m. Bringing together an exciting array of talented performers from Senegal, Mali, Guinea, Benin and South Africa, musicians, singers and dancers will perform a mixture of traditional rhythms and contemporary influences.    Members of the world class Kasumai Africa cast have performed with the National Ballet of Senegal, Les Ballets Africains (Guinea) and with artists such as Angelique Kidjo, Salif Keita, Toumani Diabate, Youssou N’Dour, Baaba Maal and Vieux Farka Toure.
