We need Zack Hudgins | Letter

One in 50 - those are roughly the odds that a ballot returned to King County Elections will not be counted.

One in 50 – those are roughly the odds that a ballot returned to King County Elections will not be counted.

Imagine that if in the United States Senate, one State was barred from voting on every bill. It would be an outrage and rightly condemned as a threat to our representative democracy. Yet when the exact same thing happens here in King County in every single election, we don’t hear a word.

Regardless of whether a ballot has a signature mismatch, was marked improperly or was returned late this is a problem that has been allowed to persist for far too long under the current leadership in King County Elections.

We need Zack Hudgins to provide new leadership to solve this problem before 2016.
