SOCH hosts free health camp in Bothell Nov. 3

Services will include mammograms, vision checkups, nutrition consulting, flu shots and more.

The Hindu Temple and Cultural Center in Bothell will hold a free health camp from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 3.

Services will include dental service camps, mammograms, vision checkups, nutrition consulting, flu shots,blood pressure and more.

The purpose of the camp is to provide free health services to as many people who might be uninsured or under insured in and around the Seattle region. The health camp is organized by Service of Core Humanity (SOCH).

SOCH is an organization that provides humanitarian services to people in need. SOCH provides a wide range of services from food drives and food banks, prison prayer groups and blanket drives to working with refugees in crisis. SOCH is based in Lake Forest Park and strives to make services available to all people, no matter ethnicity, color or gender.

This will be SOCH’s second bi-annual health care services event. According to a press release, there will also be services for well-being coaching and seniors at the camp, as well as a variety of informative information on ways to stay healthy.

SOCH welcomes community members from all walks of life to attend and to learn together. People who are in need of services are encouraged to register on the event Facebook page at tinyurl.com/yxzxes3m. Organizers are also accepting volunteers.
