Emerald Ballet Theatre to present 'Paquita' and 'Peter and the Wolf' this weekend in Bothell

The Emerald Ballet Theatre of Bellevue will present performances of ‘Paquita’ and ‘Peter and the Wolf’ back to back on both June 7 and June 8 at the Northshore Performing Arts Center in Bothell.

‘Peter and the Wolf’ is the classic Russian children’s tale of a boy who escapes the clutches of a hungry beast. The story was originally written as a symphony by Sergei Prokofiev in 1936.

‘Paquita’ is the story of a young gypsy girl in Spain who is unaware she is really a noble who was kidnapped at birth.

Each ballet will represent a single act of the two-act show, to be presented at 2 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets are $15-$25 at The Northshore Performing Arts Center is located at 18125 92nd Ave. N.E.
