Big Sandy and His Fly-Rite Boys rocked the St. Edward State Park crowd Thursday night with a boppin' blend of western swing, rockabilly and country music. Joining him on stage were Ashley Kingman on guitar, Joe Perez on drums and Jeff West on bass.

The power went out an hour into the band's set, but Big Sandy and his crew played acoustically for another hour and received a standing ovation afterward, according to Kenmore Public Information Officer Leslie Harris.

According to Jason Van Nort, Kenmore's government and community relations manager with Puget Sound Energy (PSE), 1,500 customers were without power. Recently PSE installed a new circuit at the Kenmore substation, and PSE believes that some tree branches fell on a powerline and caused the new circuit to trip out. Power was restored to all customers by 9 p.m.
