The Northshore Fire Department begins operations from its new Kenmore Station 51 (7220 N.E. 181st St.) July 13, according to Chief Tom Weathers.  There will be a grand opening later this year, but the board of commissioners conducted a small dedication at a board meeting July 12 in the new public meeting room.

The new station is located across the street from its old spot on 73rd Avenue Northeast.
