University of Washington President Michael Young met with students, faculty, campus administration and community and business leaders during his first visit to UW-Bothell July 18.
Young, whose university presidency began July 1, spent the day learning about the Bothell campus, which has more than doubled its enrollment over the last five years. “I am impressed with this beautiful campus and with how well it has managed such tremendous growth,” said Young. “Bothell will play a crucial role in helping the UW meet the surging demand for higher education in the region and state.”
Young added that he values the collaborative relationship that exists among the campuses in Seattle, Bothell and Tacoma. “Each campus brings its own unique character and strengths. The University of Washington serves its students, the state and the world best by providing three unique campuses that complement one another,” said Young.
