Bothell companies win big at United Way of Snohomish County event

More than 400 representatives of Snohomish County companies, nonprofits, school districts and government agencies celebrated the close of the 2011 Community Caring Campaign, benefiting United Way of Snohomish County, at a March 6 event in Everett.

Local award winners were Bothell's Philips Healthcare (LIVE UNITED Award) and Bothell's CMC Biologics (Local Community Hero Award, medium-sized company). Agilent Technologies (which employs Bothell resident Jim Litz, board chair for United Way of Snohomish County) also won a Local Community Hero Award, small company.

Sue Ambler, CEO of the Snohomish County Workforce Development Council and 2011 campaign chair, lives in Bothell.
