Kenmore man believes he was stabbed in the back by best friend during robbery

A Kenmore man claims he was stabbed in the back by his best friend during an apartment robbery on July 25, according to Sgt. Cindi West, King County Sheriff's public information officer.
West said the victim answered the door just before 6:30 a.m. and two masked perpetrators forced their way into the third-floor apartment in the 6800 block of Northeast 191st Street. One of the suspects told the victim, "Give me the stuff," before a struggle ensued, the victim escaped out a back sliding door, jumped one balcony at a time and ran to his mother's house two blocks away and called 911.
The victim, who didn't realize he was stabbed until he started running away, said Kenmore Police Chief Cliff Sether, isn't listed as the apartment's renter and must have been staying the night.
According to West, a neighbor saw a man and a woman jump into a car and speed off around the time of the incident. They have not been located at press time. West added that the victim identified one of the suspects — a man — as his best friend by recognizing his voice.
The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with a small, non-life-threatening injury, said Sether.
Nothing was stolen from the apartment, Sether said.
