Man struck by vehicle in Kenmore Monday night in ICU at Harborview

A man that was hit by a vehicle Monday evening near Kenmore City Hall is currently in the Intensive Care Unit of Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The accident occurred around 6 p.m. The man was crossing the street at N.E. 182nd Street and 68th Ave. N.E. when a car struck him.

"The vehicle was traveling northbound and the man was in the crosswalk," said Kenmore Police Chief Cliff Sether. "... The man is recovering at Harborview."

The identity of the victim has not been released.

Sether said that the case is still being investigated and no charges have been filed.

"What I can tell you is that there was no alcohol involved in the accident," said Sether.
