Northshore Performing Arts Center to host two ballets

Northshore Performing Arts Center in Bothell is having two classical ballets in one production: "Peter and the Wolf and Paquita."

The event is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 7 and 8. Act one is "Peter and the Wolf" based on the Russian children's tale set to music by Sergei Prokofiev. Musicians will provide live music for "Meet the Musicians," the educational introduction to "Peter and the Wolf."

Act two is set in Spain, where the ballet "Paquita" tells the story of a gypsy girl named Paquita. The one-act ballet contains many variations.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $21 for seniors and $15 for youth, ages 0-17.
