Inglewood Golf Course to host women's championship match

Inglewood Golf Club in Kenmore is hosting its 87th Annual Seattle Women’s Golf Assn–City Championship this month.

The 4-day event will be held June 9 through 12 at Inglewood Golf Club. Around 96 top lady golfers from the area’s 14 member clubs will vie for the coveted title of Seattle Women’s Golf Association's City Champion of 2014.

The eight lowest gross players from Monday’s qualifying round will earn a position in the Championship Flight, the match play elimination begins Tuesday and the winner from Thursday’s featured 36 hole finalist’s match play competition will take the title. Club’s represented include:  Inglewood, Broadmoor, Overlake, Rainier, Sahalee, Sand Point, Seattle, Bear Creek, Fairwood, Glen Acres, Glendale, Plateau, Twin Lakes and Meridian Valley.

Inglewood Golf Club, probably best known for hosting the GTE Classic (1987 - 1995), the Fred Couples Invitational (1996 - 1997) and more recently the LPGA-Legends (2012-2013), welcomes SWGA this year.

Inglewood Golf Club is located at 6505 Inglewood Rd. NE.
