Bothell names Beck new city attorney

Bothell City Manager Bob Stowe has selected Joe Beck as Bothell’s new city attorney with a start date of Sept. 2. Beck comes to the city of Bothell with more than 12 years of municipal law experience, with the last five years as assistant city attorney for the city of Auburn. He will report directly to the city manager.
“Joe is coming to the city at an exciting and integral time in Bothell’s history, when having a cohesive team working at its peak is vital,” Stowe said. “With Joe’s hire, our executive-level team is fully staffed, and I look forward to having his talent in Bothell.”
The city of Bothell legal department consists of the city attorney, assistant city attorney, a paralegal and an office specialist.
The city-attorney position’s annual salary range is $104,700 to $132,816.
Beck’s past professional experiences also include working as an associate at the private law firm Luce, Lombino & Riggio in Tacoma where he served as attorney for the town of Ruston and the city of Pacific, and as assistant city attorney for the city of Roy.
In addition, he served as a general-practice associate at the Bishop Law Office, where he acted as city attorney and assistant city attorney for the cities of Albion, Garfield, Oakesdale, Palouse, Rosalia and Tekoa.
