An open house to get public feedback on proposed zoning changes in the city of Kenmore's Regional Business Zone will be held from 6:30–8 p.m. on June 25, at Kenmore City Hall, 18120 68thAve NE. Staff will give a brief presentation on the project and the preliminary Planning Commission recommendations at 7:15 p.m.

The Regional Business zone stretches along much of SR 522 in Kenmore, but also includes significant waterfront properties—private marinas, Kenmore Air, the Glacier NW/CalPortland property and Lakepointe—as well as the Plywood Supply property and Kenmore Square area.

Proposed changes include new definitions for land uses, recommendations for prohibited uses in eight subareas of the Regional Business Zone, and revised development standards such as maximum building height. The Planning Commission will be making a final recommendation to the City Council later this year, after considering public comment and input.
