Seahawks Booster Club seeking Northshore area members
A new chapter of the Sea Hawkers Booster Club has formed for Bothell-Kenmore-Mill Creek for residents in the Northshore area.
The organization is the official booster club of the Seattle Seahawks since 1976 and the Bothell-Mill Creek Sea Hawkers Chapter is building among the "12s" since last year of 2013. For all Sea Hawkers chapter events and information you may go to www.Seahawkers.org.
The chapter has a vision to build a connection within its community members, businesses and celebrate NFL Seattle Seahawks fever among its fans. According to club president George Ortiz, and its’ directors, they would like to see the Bothell Chapter as a leading example of being one of the most active Seahawk Booster Clubs in the Puget Sound area.
Besides having membership benefits with the Seahawks organization, one of the most important reasons for forming this outstanding Seattle Seahawks' fan base organization is making a positive difference among those with local charities.
The organization is run by, and for, Seahawks fans, according to Ortiz. The Sea Hawkers will be making plans to organize events for local non-profit organization charities this year as well as schedule Seahawk game events. Some of the local fundraising efforts include those children needing assistance with meals through the schools, school supplies, training youth summer camps, among other events.
The Bothell-Mill Creek Sea Hawkers Booster Club meets every third Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. at The Salud Wine and Whiskey Bar located 1912 201st Place, SE No. 203 in Bothell. The next chapter meeting is July 17.
Membership applications will be at the monthly meetings and can be obtained through the Facebook site “Bothell/Mill Creek Sea Hawkers.” The Salud café is kid friendly and all ages are encouraged to join the organization.
It costs $15 annually for individuals and $25 for families, two adults - two children at the same address.
Some of the events that are not available to the public as a member includes summer picnic at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center (VMAC) in Renton, BBQ for all Sea hawker Chapters, access to Sea Hawker tailgate area before all home Seahawk games, Seahawks Pro Shop will provide exclusive offers to member cardholders and an Annual Sea Hawkers Banquet.
Some of the chapter plans for the season also include exclusive membership away-game day events, Mill Creek Festival, community service fundraisers, BBQ among all Chapter Sea Hawkers, visit at the VMAC, Pre Game Passes on the Centurylink Field prior to Seahawk home games through Chapter President selections and much more.
