Pilots with the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, will fly over Lake Washington today and all this week.

The flights will cause the closure of the I-90 bridge later this week.

The Blue Angels will fly over the west side of the Seattle coastline, passing the Space Needle, at approximately 12:30 p.m. while en route for their appearance at the Seattle Seafair.

This is not a media event, but they will be visible to the general public.

The Blue Angels are scheduled to fly in 68 performances at 35 locations in 2014 and 64 performances at 34 locations in 2015 throughout North America.
