City of Kenmore launches survey on Kenmore Village Town Green
The city of Kenmore will incorporate a public square or “Town Green” in the heart of downtown Kenmore. This public gathering space will help create our own sense of place and downtown identity.
City officials have created an online survey to gather input on possible uses, features and design for this signature new downtown public space. Visit www.kenmorewa.gov/downtown, view the exhibits and click on the survey link to share feedback.
The survey is available until Aug. 4 as the consultant is in the process of compiling the comments from the workshop and survey into a document to publish on the city’s website.
During the first Town Green workshop, more than 40 participants worked individually and in groups to share their thoughts on what should be incorporated into the Town Green. The Town Green is planned to be constructed on the north side of NE 181st Street, near the northwest corner of Northeast 181st Street and 68th Avenue Northeast.
The second workshop will be held on Sept. 10 and city officials will propose concept plans based on comments from the first workshop. The third workshop on Oct. 15 will bring forward a final design concept based on input from the previous two workshops.
To stay informed on the Town Green project, you can request to be added to the city’s email distribution list by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Project updates and dates for upcoming workshops will be posted on the city’s website, www.kenmorewa.gov/downtown.
