Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce votes for support of parks

The Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce board of directors, by majority vote, has taken a position in support of Bothell’s Parks and Public Spaces Levy that will appear on the ballot this November.

The Chamber feels that the positive impacts that will result from this levy, especially for the business community, warrant our support.  Additionally, the Chamber believes the levy is in the best interest of the entire community, residents and business owners alike.

The levy will improve access to many Bothell business establishments and drive vitality and appeal of the housing and business markets. The parks will benefit all residents and attract new consumers to town and parks and roads will make Bothell attractive to new businesses seeking a home.

The levy will preserve the historic Main Street area that serves the entire community.

The Chamber will be hosting a luncheon Sept. 10 focusing on the levy and its impact on the community. The event will take place at Courtyard Hall in Country Village from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Registration is required, all are welcome.
