Officials still were investigating what led up to the discovery of a body outside a Bothell hotel early the morning of Aug. 3, according to Bothell police spokesperson Capt. Denise Langford.

The body was found about 7 a.m. outside the Extended Stay America, 923 228th S.E. The hotel is in the area of State Route 527 and Interstate 405.

Just a few hours after the discovery, Langford said there wasn't much more information she could release. Langford did say a third-story window was open above where the body was found. A rope was dangling from that window.

"It's way too early to make any determinations," Langford said, adding Bothell detectives will do a complete death investigation. "There's nothing that appears suspicious," Langford added.

Langford declined to release any information about the victim, saying any identification would have to come from the King County medical examiner's office.
