The Northshore School District (LWSD) will start two-hours late today, Tuesday, Jan. 10, due to icy road conditions.
The notice was posted on the district website and applies to all schools in the NSD, including those in Kenmore and Bothell.
The district posted the following in its website:
Northshore School District is operating two hours late on normal bus routes today, January 10, due to inclement weather and road conditions.
NOTE: All after-school athletics and activities will continue on a NORMAL participation schedule today.
Buses start 2 hours late on normal routes
School starts 2 hours late
All partial programs canceled
No half-day kindergarten (a.m., p.m.), Sorenson ECC or preschool/pre-k
No out-of-district transportation
No elementary band/orchestra, zero-period, CTE or ninth-grade classes at the high schools
All-day and extended-day kindergarten operate on the elementary schedule
The district is just one of many in the Puget Sound region to delay or cancel school today due to weather conditions, including the Lake Washington, Bellevue, Monroe, Mercer Island, Issaquah, Snohomish and Island school districts, and Bellevue Christian School and Renton Christian School.
Woodinville Montessori School will open at 10 a.m., with no morning childcare.
