Bothell police seek help finding hit and run suspect

The Bothell Police Department is seeking help from the public to identify a hit-and-run driver who fled the scene of a collision at 8:07 a.m. on April 10 at the intersection of 4th Avenue W and 216th Street SW.

The suspect vehicle failed to stop at the posted stop sign as it traveled eastbound on 216th Street SW as the victim was driving northbound on 4th Avenue W. This caused the victim vehicle to collide into the side of the suspect.

The suspect vehicle turned and traveled northbound on 4th Avenue W for a few hundred feet and pulled to the side of the road. The suspect driver, who is believed to be a male, got out of the vehicle momentarily before getting back in the car and fleeing the scene northbound.

When the accident occurred, the victim vehicle was occupied by the male driver and his toddler son. The driver suffered minor injuries, toddler was not hurt.

The suspect vehicle is a black or charcoal colored passenger vehicle, possibly a 2001-2003 Lexus IS300.

It is possible the suspect driver lives in the Queensborough neighborhood and/or leaves for work during this time frame. There is no other suspect information at this time.
