City to hold ribbon cutting for new Kenmore Living History Mural

The city of Kenmore will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony and mural dedication from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 5 at the St. Vincent de Paul in Kenmore.

The city of Kenmore will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony and mural dedication from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 5 at the St. Vincent de Paul in Kenmore.

The Kenmore Living History Mural was created by artists A. Gaul Culley and Staci Adman. The two artists will speak about the cultural stories that inspired the various images in the mural.

The mural is located on the west-facing wall of the St. Vincent de Paul building and is 188-feet long by 12-feet tall. It is considered to be the longest mural in King County and one of the longest in the state of Washington.

Refreshments will be served at the Kenmore Community Club, located at 7304 NE 175th St. in Kenmore prior to the noon event.

The city will close 73rd Avenue Northeast between Bothell Way and Northeast 181st Street during the event.
