Homeless man arrested after choking ex-girlfriend near Sammamish River Trail | Bothell Police blotter

The blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical roundup of calls to the Bothell Police Department that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. Between Dec. 20-26, there were four traffic collisions, two DUIs, four vehicle prowls, two vehicle thefts, four thefts, two burglaries one incident involving illegal drugs, one incident of domestic violence, two incidents of identity theft, one robbery, two assaults, one sex offense and nine warrants served.

Dec. 20

Obstructing: 6:41 a.m., 1700 block of 214th St. SE; An employee at Crystal Springs Dental arrived at work and reported two homeless subjects, a 31-year-old man and 35-year-old woman, sleeping on the premises. A domestic violence no-contact order was in place against the man, who was arrested for violating the order. The woman was asked to clean the area of garbage and leave the property.

Burglary: 8:44 a.m., 18500 block of 92nd Ave. NE; Unknown suspects broke into United Methodist Church by smashing windows with a concrete block. After a search, church employees did not discover anything missing.

Fraud: 2:01 p.m., 2100 block of 228th St. SE;

Burglary: 6:27 p.m., 16100 block of Juanita-Woodinville Way NE; An unknown suspect broke into a condo belonging to a 48-year-old woman and stole numerous items, including jewelry, cash, prescription medication and electronics. It appeared the suspect had broken the lock on the condo’s sliding glass window, then exited the condo through the front door.

Dec. 21

Malicious mischief: 3:36 a.m., 18900 block of Bothell Way NE; A 32-year-old Bothell man was arrested after throwing a rock through a window at the Bothell QFC. The man had been arrested seven previous times by Bothell Police, and was wearing only a towel when officers arrived at his residence. Officers had to clothe the man and give him shoes before transporting him to King County Jail.

Dec. 22

Theft: 3:32 p.m., 22500 block of 20th Ave. SE; A man rang the doorbell at a residence belonging to a 58-year-old Bothell man, and upon getting no answer, fled with the package that had been sitting on the porch. The victim reported the suspect leaving an older black or blue Chevrolet 1500 pickup, driven by a Caucasian male and a Caucasian female, both in their early 20s.

Dec. 23

DUI: 1:12 a.m., 14900 block of 106th Ave. NE; A 22-year-old Bothell man was arrested for DUI after colliding with parked cars, then leaving the scene of the collision. The man’s father drove the man back to the scene after contact with police.

Dec. 24

DUI: 8 p.m., 100 block of 232nd Place SW; A 44-year-old woman drove through a fence and struck a home while behind the wheel of her 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche. The woman was outside picking up medication from the ground when contacted by police, but when questioned by officers about her condition, said, “it’s not the medication, it’s from the martini’s.” The woman was arrested for DUI.

Assault: 11:21 p.m., 11800 block of Sammamish River Trail; Officers responded to a domestic violence assault incident between two homeless subjects, a 37-year-old man and 37-year-old woman. The woman reported the man had entered her tent, assaulted her and choked her to the point she couldn’t breathe. A police dog located the man walking down the trail near Woodinville and arrested the man for 2nd-degree assault, domestic violence.
