Man taken to hospital for intxoication picked up for intoxication later the same day | Bothell Police Blotter

The blotter feature is both a description of a small selection of police incidents and a statistical roundup of calls to the Bothell Police Department that are dispatched to on-duty police officers. March 21

Theft: noon, 19800 block of 102nd Ave. NE. A Bothell woman reported finding a stack of mail in her front yard that was soaking wet. Officers responded and contacted both Bothell residents to which the mail was addressed. The only item of note that was of value according to both victims were leggings worth about $40.

Theft: 5:05 p.m., 15100 block of 110th Ave. NE. The reporting party came home to discover a side gate to their home was taken down, then found that their generator that was sitting on our back deck was gone. The resident was away from home for two weeks.

March 22

Theft: 4:27 p.m., 18300 block of 120th Ave. NE. A 28-year-old Bothell man was trespassed from Home Depot after buying items, then reentering the store, taking more items off the shelf and putting them in his basket and leaving. The man claimed that he “spaced” due to a mental health condition. After being trespassed from the store, the man made threats to sue Home Depot.

Theft: 10 p.m., 900 block of 228th St. SE. A man who has been staying at a Bothell motel for the past two years reported that his utility trailer had been stolen from the parking lot. A report was taken.

March 23

Mental hold: 6:08 p.m., 22900 SR 527 SE. Snohomish County Sheriff deputies involuntarily committed a man to a local hospital for intoxication earlier in the day, and he was found at the Bothell Applebee’s. Deputies were not sure how the man left the hospital. Bothell police and fire personnel were called to the restaurant to take care of the man. The man was not willing to say how he left the hospital but that he came to the restaurant to drink alcohol. The man was then voluntarily returned to the hospital.

Assault: 1:55 a.m., 10500 block of NE 189th St. Two Bothell roommates got into an argument about doing chores around the house. One of the men ended up grabbing the other by the throat and pushed him against a fence. The suspect also pulled the victim’s hair and grabbed the back of his neck. The suspect was arrested for assault.

March 24

Malicious mischief: 2:48 p.m., 23800 block of 15th Ave. SE. A Bothell man reported to police that his tire was slashed and the vehicle was “keyed.”

March 25

Burglary: 1:47 p.m., 12200 block of Woodinville Dr. The victim was away in the hospital. Sometime during the week she was gone, her apartment was burglarized. Front door deadbolt lock pried and jewelry was stolen.

March 26

Domestic: 7:36 p.m., 2100 block of 227th Street SE. Police were called to a residence where neighbors reported arguing between and man and a woman in the street. The man then drove away at a high rate of speed and neighbors thought the woman was injured. Upon contact by police, the woman advised officers that she was not injured and that the argument began because her husband told her he was gay, in a relationship with an older man and was HIV positive. She also advised police that the relationship is over.

Burglary: 9 p.m., 23000 block of 27th Ave. SE. Police responded to a report of a burglary where $7,000 worth of tools were taken from a vehicle. The reporting party also stated that $950 of tools were stolen from his garage.
