Police rounded up two female burglary suspects in Bothell while a male suspect got away in Kenmore yesterday afternoon.

Kenmore police and officers from other agencies searched a neighborhood around the 6200 block of 193rd Place Northeast in Kenmore for the suspect in a Brier burglary, according to Shari Ireton, director of communications for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

Brier police were dispatched to a home in the 23000 block of 27th Place West in Brier at about 2:30 p.m. When police arrived, they saw the suspects burglarizing the home, Ireton said. The trio fled the scene in a stolen vehicle, clipping an SUV in a driveway. The SUV driver was not hurt.

Police chased the suspects into Bothell, where they abandoned their car on Locust Way, tossed two handguns into nearby bushes and attempted to flee on foot. Officers arrested the two women, but the man evaded police.

Police called off the search on Wednesday evening.

Ireton said police know the man’s identity (she didn’t know how) and noted that the investigation is still active.

Ireton added that there was another burglary reported in unincorporated Snohomish County yesterday afternoon, but it is not known whether that and the Brier one are connected.
