Stolen credit card used to make $1,000 purchase at grocery store | Kenmore police blotter

March 12

Suspicious circumstances: 3:41 p.m., 7700 block of NE Bothell Way. A man called into police that he felt threatened by an 80-year-old man while grocery shopping in Kenmore. The reporting party said there was a brief verbal incident between the two men.

March 13

Explosives: 9:22 a.m., 16500 block of 79 Place NE. A man called police to request assistance in disposing of some old ammunition. Deputies assisted in the disposal.

Assault: 6:58 p.m., 7200 block of NE 170th St. A Kenmore woman called police to report that her boyfriend shoved her during an argument causing pain.

March 14

Burglary: 12:16 p.m., 6100 NE 175th St. An unlocked vehicle was entered and items were stolen in a secured residential parking garage.

Trespass: 1:20 p.m., 6800 block of NE Bothell Way. Management at the Kenmore Safeway called police to report a man sleeping in the seating area of the store. The man was asked to leave by deputies and was trespassed from the store.

March 15

Warrant: 1:20 a.m., 6800 block of NE Bothell Way. While conducting an area check in the Safeway parking lot, deputies contacted a suspicious person sitting in a vehicle for a prolonged amount of time. The person was found to have a misdemeanor warrant and was arrested.

Property found: 7:16 p.m., 7700 block of NE 167th St. A rusted .22 caliber rifle, possibly an air gun, was found in a swamp area near some residences.

March 16

Larceny: 4:42 p.m., 18100 block of 68th Ave. NE. A person reported to the Kenmore police station at City Hall that their debit card was used for unauthorized purchases.

Property found: 5:30 p.m., 6000 NE Bothell Way. A wallet was found in the parking lot and a message was left for the owner based on the contents but there has been no response. The Wallet was submitted into evidence.

Burglary: 5:34 p.m., 6100 block of NE 175th St. Building resident reported an attempted entry into the secure parking garage through a stairwell sometime overnight with no suspect information. It does not appear they made entry but possibly used a crowbar and caused some minor damage.

March 17

Car theft: 12:03 a.m., 18000 block of 63rd Ave. NE. Kenmore police assisted the Bellevue police in finding a vehicle reported stolen. The victim’s son and friends took the vehicle without asking.

March 19

Larceny: 10:05 a.m., 14500 Juanita Drive NE. A person reported that their car was broken into and their credit card was stolen while it was parked in St. Edward State Park. The card was subsequently used at the Kirkland QFC, less than a mile away, and was used to make a purchase of more than $1,000.

Vandalism: 2:15 p.m., 16700 block of Juanita Drive NE. Victim reported that car window was broken. It is unknown if anything was taken.

Car theft: 10:40 p.m., 6600 block of NE 182nd St. A vehicle was reported stolen from an apartment complex parking lot.
