Updates on two Kenmore assaults

Deputies arrested two men in separate incidents after they assaulted people.

On Feb. 29 around 6:25 p.m., King County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of aggravated assault at the Kenmore Hopelink after a 32-year-old Kenmore man got into an argument with his ex-girlfriend.

Deputies said the man pushed the woman and pulled her hair, despite a no contact order being in place. The man was arrested on fourth-degree assault domestic violence charges, not aggravated assault as was originally reported in a blotter provided by the King County Sheriff’s Office.

On March 5 around 1:45 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a man with a handgun at Tabs Bar and Grill.

When they arrived, they arrested a 31-year-old highly intoxicated Bothell man after witnesses said they saw him walk to his car and they tried to convince him to get a cab.

Deputies said the man became angry and pulled out a handgun and started waiving it around and threatening people.

The witnesses went back in the bar and called 911, deputies found the man in his car with a gun on the passengers seat.

The man was arrested for investigation of reckless endangerment.
