With the experience of having served four years on the board of our wonderful Northshore YMCA, and now an active member using that facility on a regular basis, and, knowing that the board is now deeply involved in the Partners With Youth Campaign, I would like to encourage our Northshore community, individuals, families and businesses to actively step up in response to this fund-raising campaign.

The Northshore YMCA is a very worthwhile facility that provides so very much good to the residents of this community. Our Y offers services like child care, youth sports, swim lessons, family oriented activities and exercise and workout facilities. Very importantly, because of some 650 volunteers, 95 cents of every donated dollar goes to supporting these programs. What’s also impressive is that our local YMCA this year is celebrating its 30th year of serving our Northshore community. With our economy in such financial straits, I’m certain a phone call to support our own YMCA at (425) 485-9797 would be very much appreciated, or you can log onto www.ymcanorthshore.org and click on the purple “Give to Partners With Youth Campaign” button to make your donation.
