Oh, those pesky Northshore crows

While the recent article on crows was quite interesting and briefly touched on the waste and disease issues, it did not address the issue of why. As a local resident since 1981, the increased presence of crows over the past three years in and around Kenmore is disturbing. What change in predators, climate, food source etc. has caused this? While the yuppies and tree huggers might think it is cute, after living along the slough for 30 years something has changed and not necessarily for the better. A follow-up article might address some of the unsanitary issues these birds bring to our ecosystem. They harass the eagles and (eliminate waste) on roofs and cars, and the rapid increase in their population needs to be addressed before it gets out of hand
