Feeling bittersweet about Bothell McMenamins

It was a bittersweet experience to read of McMenanmins’ plans to redevelop the Anderson Building in Bothell.

Sweet, because it will be wonderful to have a full-service McMenamins hotel, restaurant, pool and spa so close to us.

Bitter, because the short-sighted government in my own city of Kenmore rejected their proposal to purchase and renovate the St. Edward’s Seminary property.

Apparently, the Kenmore City Council did no research to discover the quality of McMenanmins’ property restorations throughout Oregon and Washington. My question to the city of Kenmore: what are the plans for this property now?
