Senior Celebration on tap in Bothell on Sept. 11 / Chamber Column

Bothell is a great place to be a senior. Here are some reasons: We’ve got a terrific senior center, several senior-friendly living communities, excellent health care within easy reach and more.

What’s more?  The third annual Bothell Annual Senior Celebration in downtown Bothell on Sept. 11. The festivities begin at 10 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street and 101st Avenue Northeast (also known as “Festival Street”). Produced by the Senior Resource Committee of the Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce, our sponsors are EvergreenHealth and the Foundation House at Bothell.

In honor of our seniors, there will be giveaways, prizes, discounts, live music and entertainment, historical tours and other activities. Seniors and their families can shop the stores on Main Street, dine at downtown restaurants and enjoy an hour or the whole time until it concludes just after 2 p.m. There’s free parking and a shuttle service that will run from the Northshore Senior Center to downtown throughout the day.

It’s a lot of fun and one more reason to enjoy being (or knowing) a senior in Bothell.
