Bothell High's volleyball team will host "Blackout Breast Cancer" night during its Oct. 6 home game versus Roosevelt High. Doors open at 6 p.m. and game time is at 7 p.m.

The Cougar volleyball organized the event to bring awareness to the issue of breast cancer and provide a platform for members of the American Cancer Society to reach out to the community with important information.

The players will wear specially designed black-and-pink uniforms as part of the event. Fans, students and community members are invited to attend the event and wear black to the game to show their support for cancer awareness.

Those in attendance can purchase Bothell Cougar "Blackout Breast Cancer" T-shirts, water bottles and pink bracelets in the lobby prior to the game. All proceeds from these sales will be donated to the American Cancer Society of Washington.
