Bothell High School (BHS) will be hosting the Bothell Holiday Classic basketball tournament next week, from Dec. 28-30, in the school gym.

The event showcases eight teams from the Puget Sound region, including the BHS Cougars.

The participating visiting programs are: Kentwood, Lynden, Kent Meridian, Rainier Beach, Bellevue, Kamiak and Bishop Blanchet.

Games start daily at 4 p.m., with host Bothell playing Bishop Blanchet in the nightcap on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 8:30.

Admission for adults is $8, and student admission (with valid school ID card) is $5.

Prep Sportswear will be sponsoring the event and is providing commemorative T-shirts to every player and staff member at the tournament.

"The Bothell Holiday Classic is a great opportunity to support local talent and give back to the community," said Dena Becker, Director of Marketing at Sportswear Inc. "The event is part of a larger marketing program to support youth sports in the region."

The BHS gym is located at 9130 N.E. 180th St. in Bothell.
