Burke sets course record at Big Finn Hill Park | Prep cross country

Kyra Burke set the course record at Big Finn Hill Park while leading the Inglemoor cross country girls to a win over Bothell Wednesday night.

Burke covered the course in 18 minutes, 49 seconds, breaking the record previously set by Tansey Lystad of Inglemoor in 2010. She was over a full minute ahead of her next competitor, teammate Amber Rose, who ran 19:58. Inglemoor won the meet 25-30.

Bothell's top runner was Stephanie Spencer who finished the race in 20:25.

The Bothell boys cross country team won over Inglemoor with a score of 23-36.

Michael Mendenhall of Inglemoor won the race in 16:48. Bothell was led by Teddy Pierce, who finished second in a time of 17:16.
