Bothell finished fifth at KingCo meet, Inglemoor ninth | Prep boys cross country

The Bothell High School boys cross country team finished fifth overall with a score of 137 during the 4A KingCo championship meet Thursday at Lincoln Park in West Seattle. Inglemoor finished ninth with a score of 210.
The only runner for either school to finish in the top ten was Mike Mendenhall of Inglemoor, placing eight with a time of 16 minutes, 10 seconds on the 3.1 mile course.
Bothell’s Jacob Straus finished 15th overall (16:19.3), Blake Slattergren of Inglemoor finished 27th (16:32.3) and Bothell’s Charlie Barringer (16:32.4) was 29th. Cougar Dean willis rounded out the top 30 for the boys squad, with a time of 16:32.9.
