The Inglemoor high school boys basketball team began the preseason with a game at 3A Mercer Island, losing 77-46 Friday night.

The Vikings played the Islanders close but a five-point second quarter for Inglemoor sank any chances for a win.

Inglemoor trailed 19-14 at the end of the first quarter but stiff defense shut the Vikings down during the second quarter, as the team entered the half down 37-19.

The Islander offense exploded for 28 third-quarter points, essentially finishing off the Vikings.

Inglemoor junior Trey Miller led the team with 17 points, while his senior teammates, Cooper Danby and Chris Bryant, finished with nine points each.
