December 8, 2012 · 8:06 PM

The Cougar boys basketball team is showing why they will be difficult to beat this season. Teams are finding out they have to shut down more than just the best player in the state.

Eastlake struggled to slow the Cougars Friday, as three Bothell players scored in double figures to propel their team to a 78-51 win.

Bothell scored 18 points during the second quarter and led 34-18 at the half. Eastlake picked up its offense during the second half, scoring in double figures during each quarter, but the Cougars put up 44 points and ran away with the victory.

Bothell’s Zach LaVine led all scorers with 24 points, while teammates Perrion Callandret (19) and Josh Martin (16) also scored in double figures.
